Recent projects that pushed me to grow
The High School Capitalist
founded a non-profit teaching high school and university students about finance, economics, and politics. created programs and content that educated hundreds of students, building an audience that extends beyond Canada. organized workshops, created educational content, and built a community of young people passionate about financial literacy.
Bengali Youth Student Society
founded and grew BYSS into an international platform educating youth about Bangladeshi culture. what started locally now has members across multiple countries.
Axiom Startup Competition
pitched a startup idea to experienced judges competing for $1,000. gained mentorship from 15-20 industry professionals and networked with fellow entrepreneurs.
ECVI DECA Chapter
founding member and VP of the school's first DECA chapter, mentoring peers in business and leadership while preparing them for competitions.
Oshawa Young Liberals
founding member of OYL, helping establish a youth political organization focused on civic engagement and community leadership development.
About me
i'm kazi zayeed—VP of ECVI DECA, Deputy Prime Minister of Student Council, and founder of multiple organizations that have impacted hundreds of students.
whether it's organizing cultural showcases, running finance workshops, or mentoring peers, i'm driven by creating opportunities for others. i've earned the U of T National Book Award, competed at Model UN regionals (Rising Star & Outstanding Delegate), and logged 100+ volunteer hours in leadership and mentorship.
next year i'll be in university, but right now i'm focused on leaving my school and community better than i found it.
